I had the opportunity to give a guest lecture to enthusiastic students at TMO Fashion Business School. My debut as an entrepreneur! I candidly shared the story behind SUITS for her: its origins, where we are now as a startup, and where I see SUITS for her in ten years.
We couldn't stop talking, especially about topics that entrepreneurs sometimes prefer to avoid:
- How much capital do you need for a collection?
- How do you find a good mentor or business coach?
- Where are our production partners located?
- And what sales strategy do we use?
The energy in the room was fantastic. What made it especially valuable for me were the compliments, reflections, and advice from the group, including those from the instructors. But the icing on the cake? Students who spontaneously signed up to help build SUITS for her!
And of course, among the logos of other fashion brands, I also left my own message on The Wall of Fame.
